Lost property is collected and every endeavour is made to return goods to their owners. This is simple and sure when articles are clearly marked with the child’s name, but time-consuming and often ineffective when articles are not marked.
Articles not claimed are stored at Lost Property and after a reasonable period all unclaimed articles are given to a charitable organisation. Parents are welcome to search the Lost Property for misplaced items, if a child is unable to find their property. It is located in a box in the Undercover area.
It is important, therefore, that all articles and clothing which may be removed, e.g. track tops and pants, hats, and lunch boxes, should be clearly marked with the child’s name.
Children in early years readily identify their own school bag if it is marked with a distinctive item with which they are familiar.
